Photographing every part // 04/2026
All of these photos were taken on the island of Santiago, across some of its beautiful and surreal places.
This isn’t a place I’m trying to sell.
These photos aren’t here to show perfection or to convince anyone to come.
Cabo Verde is not just beauty — it’s dust, worn streets, and lives that aren’t easy.
There’s poverty you can’t ignore, stories you don’t fully understand just by passing through.
But in the middle of that, there’s something else:
Smiles that don’t feel forced.
Laughter that doesn’t need much.
A kind of happiness that exists without having everything.
These images are not about the “beautiful version” of a place.
They’re about what’s real — sometimes hard, sometimes warm, sometimes unexpectedly bright.
Because Cabo Verde is both.
